PortAventura Business & Events has carried out an ambitious 6,000 m² expansion of its Convention Centre’s infrastructure, reaching 20,000 m² in total with an investment of €11,000,000. This important new addition highlights the decisive commitment of PortAventura Business & Events to innovation and growth.
The new Convention Centre building is fully integrated into the landscape, together with the existing building, offers a new room, called “Sala Roma”, that can be separated into three separate sections with a total area of 2,110 m², and with a capacity to welcome more than 2,000 people. This new space is naturally-lit, just like the rest of the rooms and common spaces in the Convention Centre. It is also surrounded by terraces and Mediterranean-style gardens offering unbeatable views of both the sea and the golf courses. The new extension also includes 880 m² kitchen that complements the existing one located on the centre’s ground floor.
The building’s new extension has been incorporated into the Mediterranean surroundings, taking into account objectives such as sustainability and environmental friendliness. The use of natural resources and the minimization of impact on the landscape has been a priority from the very beginning.
