LAST NOVEMBER, MORE THAN 1500 EMPLOYEES OF AMREST, THE EUROPE’S LEADING RESTAURANT OPERATOR THAT OPERATES WORLD-BELOVED BRANDS SUCH AS PIZZA HUT, BURGER KING, KFC, LA TAGLIATELLA AND STARBUCKS, AMONGST OTHERS, CELEBRATED 25 YEARS OF THE COMPANY’S JOURNEY AT PORTAVENTURA BUSINESS & EVENTS.

 

AmRest, Europe’s leading restaurant operator, has more than 2000 establishments around the world with prominent brands such as Burger King, KFC, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and La Tagliatella. The multinational, which is based in Wroclaw and operates currently in more than 20 countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Spain, France, Germany and China, chose PortAventura Business & Events to hold the convention commemorating its 25th anniversary. Under the slogan 25 years of fun, more than 1500 employees of AmRest from 16 different countries enjoyed four days at the PortAventura Convention Centre, PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land. The attendees stayed at Hotel PortAventura, Hotel Caribe and Hotel El Paso.

 

 

The event got off to an incredible start with an exclusive opening of PortAventura Park’s Mediterrània area, open-air cocktails, the projection of the company’s logo on the lake’s water curtain and a fountain show with lights and music. The following day more than 1500 attendees were treated to a private opening of Ferrari Land where they had the opportunity to delve into Italian legacy and inspiration with a cocktail lunch in front of replicas of the most emblematic buildings of Italian heritage.

The entire convention centre was customised for the 25 years of fun event. A 100 m2 stage was set up in the Alexandria room, where a plenary meeting, a gala dinner and a Grow Talent Show were held, in which AmRest employees showed off their artistic talents.

The 25 years of fun event highlighted the ability of PortAventura Business & Events to execute corporate events of any type and magnitude. The catering department served 6000 meals in three days, including two gala dinners, involving more than 600 staff throughout the event, who transformed a plenary assembly to gala dinner for 1500 guests in just 6 hours. The technical team included 30 specialists who were responsible for the assembly and operation of the event, including the installation of a 100 m2 LED screen, a 360º screen with video mapping projection and twelve 20K and 10K projectors.
