PortAventura Business & Events is proud to have hosted the second edition of the BETravelCongress, organised by VVR and UPAV, the main Belgian associations for tourism professionals. The event, which took place 18-21 April 2024, brought together 225 sector professionals from Belgium with the aim of inspiring them, expanding their network of contacts, and giving them an opportunity to acquire new knowledge.

Under the slogan „A Changing Mindset“, the congress addressed the latest trends and challenges in the tourism sector, and focused on innovation and sustainability. Attendees enjoyed a comprehensive programme that included inspiring keynote speeches from renowned speakers, interactive workshops for hands-on learning, and unique networking opportunities with other professionals.

BETravelCongress participants stayed at Hotel Caribe, a 4-star hotel located in the heart of PortAventura World. This hotel offers a prime location just a few minutes‘ walk from the Convention Centre, where the congress talks and workshops were held.

An extensive programme of activities

In addition to the talks and workshops, BETravelCongress offered a complete programme of activities, from trips around the Costa Dorada, special lunches and team building activities in PortAventura World and Ferrari Land, to a congress closing dinner at the INFINITUM Beach Club.

These activities helped to foster collaboration and professional development among attendees, and allowed participants to discover the charms of the Costa Dorada and the fun to be had in the PortAventura World theme parks.

A congress filled with successes

The BETravelCongress was a resounding success, both due to the quality of its content and the attendees‘ high levels of participation and enthusiasm.
