PortAventura Business & Events attended the 77th edition of the Mundo Deportivo Grand Gala, a benchmark event in the world of sport that rewards the best sporting moments of the year and pays tribute to legends who have left an indelible mark on history.

A commitment to sport

As an official sponsor, PortAventura Business & Events presented the trophy to the padel legend Fernando Belasteguín, in a moving gesture led by Malin Nilsson, director of PortAventura Business & Events. This act symbolises the company’s continued support for sports disciplines that inspire new generations and promote values of overcoming challenges, perseverance, and excellence.

Held in Barcelona, the event was attended by members of the PortAventura Business & Events team, reaffirming its commitment to attracting sporting events as a strategic lever for growth. The company continues to consolidate its position as a benchmark in the organisation of sporting and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions/Events) events, offering first-class infrastructures in an exclusive and sustainable environment.

The gala also provided the opportunity to honour other outstanding figures and teams:

· Garbiñe Muguruza (Mundo Deportivo trophy), at the forefront of women’s tennis.
· Aitana Bonmatí (Repsol trophy), one of the great stars of international women’s football.
· Teresa Perales (Movistar trophy), a symbol of achievement in Paralympic sport.

PortAventura Business & Events: sport as a lever for growth

The participation of PortAventura Business & Events in this gala not only reflects its role as a sponsor, but also its strategic vision: sport is a key tool for the development of its events and business division.

In addition, we have recently brought in Ricardo García, the new Sport Business Development director, to focus more efforts on attracting sporting events and developing this business as an important lever for growth for the resort.

For those organisations or companies looking to host sporting events in a sustainable environment with a variety of multifunctional spaces (both indoor and outdoor), the resort offers unique experiences for all types of sporting disciplines with a clear commitment to sustainability, a fundamental pillar of our company.

PortAventura Business & Events has once again demonstrated its commitment to the world of sport and its ability to host large-scale events, consolidating PortAventura Convention Centre as a strategic hub for high-level sports meetings and competitions.
