PortAventura Convention Centre recently hosted the largest meeting of lawyers at a national level

PortAventura Business & Events hosted, from 3 to 5 May, the XIII National Congress of Lawyers, the benchmark event for the sector in Spain, which this year brought together more than 1,500 professionals and was attended by Pilar Llop, Minister of Justice, among others.
The congress was organised by the Council with the collaboration of the Tarragona, Reus, and Tortosa bar associations and this edition revolved around the culture of agreement.
During the three days, in the different spaces offered by the PortAventura Convention Centre, 60 training sessions, four deliberative sessions, and three plenary sessions took place. An exhibition area of 2,000 m2 was also set up.
Malin Nilsson, Director of PortAventura Business & Events, said that “it has been quite a challenge to tackle a congress that is so important at a national level and, at the same time, satisfying to see the excellent results that we have achieved. Furthermore, the event was organised with a sustainable approach and with respect for the environment, which added even more value to this gathering”.
PortAventura Convention Centre makes available to clients a series of practices that help make each event as sustainable as possible and with complete respect for the environment. These actions include, in particular, streamlining and reuse of the materials used, prioritising the use of digital formats, avoiding the use of products that have not been sustainably manufactured, choosing menus that contain seasonal and local products, etc.
On this occasion, congress participants stayed at Hotel PortAventura, situated only 3 minutes from the Convention Centre, a space that was available exclusively to the attendees. They were also able to enjoy an open-air dinner in PortAventura Park’s Mediterrània area. The rest of the food and beverage services were available in different areas of the Convention Centre, where it was possible to choose between multiple options for all kinds of events in set-up, banquets, cocktails, or coffee breaks.
